Who killed Laura Palmer?” was the topic of water-cooler conversations everywhere in the early 90s. Devoted fans of Twin Peaks, the brainchild of wacky auteur, David Lynch, have cause for celebration. The long awaited 2nd season has finally been released on DVD! That’s the good news. The bad news is that after wrapping up the Laura Palmer plot somewhere in the middle of the second season, the series started to lose its way. Nonetheless, the honorable FBI agent, Dale Cooper, remains the second best character ever to appear on series television. (The 1st, of course, is Patrick McGoohan’s Number Six from The Prisoner.) So put on a pot of Good Morning America, pop in the DVD, and swill some “damn fine coffee” as you follow the exploits of Special Agent Dale Cooper, Sheriff Truman, and the ubiquitous Log Lady.
