Evelyn Waugh’s The Loved One

Many readers don’t know that the oh-so-English Evelyn Waugh, of Brideshead Revisited fame, spent a bit of time in Hollywood, trying his hand at screenwriting. I’m not sure much came of it from a cinematic point of view, but Waugh did manage to coax a wicked satirical novel about La-La-Land out of the experience, The Loved One. John has just posted a review of it on Catholicfiction.net.
