As readers of this blog may know, Clan Murphy is united in its appreciation of tennis in general and Roger Federer in particular. Moreover, as the last two weeks of the US Open have worn on, those of us in the Clan who have read Donna Byrne’s The Secret and have enjoyed discussing its merits and demerits, have gone from affirming, with a chuckle, that “Roger Federer knows The Secret” to “Roger Federer is The Secret.”

It’s just such a pleasure to watch someone who is so good at what he does.

But Ronda and Attraction Law-yers take note: we were mightily tickled to hear Mary Carillo tell a story this afternoon about a small Wimbledon church that put up the above-pictured billboard during the Wimbledon tourney.

Yes, indeed, “God made Roger Federer.” And a fine job He (not “the universe”, whatever that is) did of it, too.
