Terri Windling of the beautiful Endicott Studios blog has a nice preview of the new Tolkien compilation (edited by Christopher Tolkien ) The Children of Hurin, illustrated by the incomparable Alan Lee. This looks like almost disturbing reading, but is surely on every mythopoeic-lit lover’s reading list.
